This DD2 max engine is designed to be the ultimate karting experience Rotax has to offer, with a dynamic shifting engine, endless power, and an unrivaled reliability and engine system that provides a user friendly and consistent platform. This engine is a complete engine kit, with a couple additional items needed, outlined below.

• Producing approximately 34 hp at peak performance, the DD2 can propel a full size kart to approximately 90+ mph on large tracks.
• The water-cooled, single-piston engine has been engineered over decades of refinement from Rotax BRP Polaris to be easy to run, easy to tune, and easy to maintain. 
• An onboard centrifugal clutch and multiple gears that the driver can toggle between during operation of the engine.
• Peak torque with the Micro Max occurs at about 10,500 RPM, but these engines can routinely rev to 15,000 RPM or more with no issues. 
• The bare engine weighs just about 37 lbs, with complete package weighing right at 63 lbs.
• At the DD2 level, the engine features the 'senior' exhaust manifold (28mm in size), exhaust system, and radiator.
• A battery box, shifting mechanism and relays, engine relay harness, start / on / off switch, and all associated hardware to make the engine run (ECU, battery harness charger, etc) is also included in the kit.
• The engine also comes sealed, and with a passport, which is very important in the case that you want to utilize this engine in competitions.
