This model clearly expresses New-Line Racing’s resources and capabilities in the field of innovation. Starting from a traditional RS, the Italian company’s engineers developed a double cooling circuit.
Basically, the ROTAX radiator is divided into two parts, inside the tanks, both the upper and the lower ones.
In so doing, the water enters from the top and only reaches the outer part of the radiator, i.e. the area furthest from the driver. From there, it drops downwards through the radiator core and is subjected to a first decrease in temperature. Once at the bottom, in the lower tank, it travels upwards through an outer tube of welded aluminium and heads towards the second part of the radiator core, the one closest to the driver’s seat. The water again drops from the top of the radiator downwards and is subjected to a second cooling cycle before heading in the direction of the engine thanks to the action of the water pump.
Compared to the RS from which it derives, it undoubtedly offers better performance in terms of cooling, although it requires greater care and skill during mounting and when bleeding the system.
Further optimisation of the air-flow is achieved by use of a rear deflector as standard, capable of diverting the hot air from the rear tyre and facilitating its outflow from behind the radiator.
In extreme weather conditions, it can be combined with the Supplementare / Hobby Radiators.
